“OMAR” Ibn Al-Khattab TV series - the Drama that MBC and Qatar TV will be airing during the holy month of Ramadan - continues its Global journey, as Indonesia has been added to the broadcasting countries that will air this historic drama production - described as the largest production in modern TV history within the Middle-East region.

Broadcasting rights were granted to MNC TV Network Indonesia, part of MNC Group - the leading private network that will air it subtitled in Indonesian, simultaneously with the MENA region during Ramadan, and will later air it dubbed in Indonesian post-Ramadan.
The broadcasting rights for “OMAR” series have been granted to MNC TV network, that belongs to MNC Group and is the largest private broadcaster in Indonesia, following an earlier announcement by "O3 Productions", granting rights to ATV network - the leading private broadcaster in Turkey, that will also air it dubbed in Turkish, simultaneously with MBC1 during Ramadan; therefore setting precedent that “OMAR” series continues its path onto the Global scale, passing by MENA region, into Turkey and now Indonesia, while acknowledging that several "rights" deals are underway in other Islamic countries and around the world.
Fadi Ismail, General Manager of "O3 Productions" said that the series' journey did really start in the MENA region, passing by Turkey and now through Indonesia, and will tap into other countries - thus ensuring that the largest number of viewers will have the opportunity to view and better understand the history and the great story of the Khalifeh OMAR Ibn Al Khattab, the "Islamic State" initiator and builder.
Two-thirds of Muslims on earth will be watching "Omar" series in Ramadan; the number has increased after MNV Indonesian T.V channel has signed with MBC the contract to launch it in Indonesian version. The Muslims number in Indonesian market is estimated to 190 million people who represent almost 86% of the Muslims population. The MNV is the second largest media group in Indonesia, will broadcast the series again after the end of Ramadan.
The joint-production, between MBC Group and Qatar TV, embodies the life, path and values of the Khalifeh OMAR Ibn Al Khattab; and the Muslim State he helped shape.
The production explicitly showcases the path of "Al Farrouq" and the characteristics of equality, good governance, justice, tolerance, wisdom, compassion and leadership among others. It further sheds light on the personal values of the Khalifeh, in addition to the preceding social environment highlighting the social values and geographic environment.
